Gary Singer

Deputy Lord Mayor of Melbourne, and arbiter of change. He has certainly become prominent for his forward thinking views and also because he is openly gay and proud. He is modest and unassuming, and surprisingly pleasant, most of the big "bringers of change" are loudly outspoken. His story of how he got to where he is, and the stories about how the media reacted to him when he was elected and are very interesting. I wanted to interview him to see how sincere he is, and I am very impressed with him, he is sincere and very easy-going and friendly, a good ambassador for the G&L  community. 43 Minutes (I've down-sampled this one to make the file not so big - please let me know if this is not satisfactory and I'll post the full sampled version)

Spaced Out

Melbourne's G&L science fiction club, gave an interesting insight into what Sci-fi means to G&L people, and some of the aspects that appeal to us. Andy and Alan also spoke to us about some of the favourite sci-fi that has meaning and some that is just fun. 33 minutes

16th September 2007. The Region 1 Victoria Police G&L Liaison Officer, and genuine nice Guy, there are some interesting insight in this interview, especially about behaviour of Police and beats, Sgt. Davis and the Other GLLO's have done a lot to improve the welfare of G&L people, carrying on After Melinda Edwards, and with the supervision of Christine Nixon. 39 minutes

 

Senator Lyn Alison (September 2007)

Senator Alison joined us for a long interview, Like Bob Browne and Bruce Atkinson, and Amanda Vandstone, I found her to be sincere. I also think that Senator Alison is a an important ally for the G&L community, she is compassionate, intelligent and understands a lot of the issues that face out community. 40 Minutes

Anthony Venn-Brown (October 2007)

Anthony Venn-Brown ex-evangelist and Assembly of God minister, has written a book about his journey and the events along the way, he came out as homosexual and his story in interesting and moving. He has researched a lot and presents his story with insight and knowledge, and he is quite open honest and I found him to be sincere. It's interesting to hear his experiences with the ex-gay "movement". This is a long interview but totally absorbing. 43 minutes.

Addam & Peter  (October 2007)

This week we discussed some important issues, like what is SO good about being gay, that would make future parents want to have homosexual children, as genetics are progressing and it looks like soon humans will be able to determine the sexuality of their children, 47 Minutes (Resampled to lower sample rate). Senator Mitch Fifield answered some questions, about various issues, including G&L marriage and relationships, indigenous issues and the resource driven economy.
